    Description

The Wyoming Business Council’s Market Expansion Grant reimburses private, Wyoming-based for-profit businesses for approved activities that help them enter new markets outside Wyoming. It is intended to reduce the cost barriers that might otherwise prevent a business from pursuing an expansion opportunity. Supported activities can include trade shows, domestic trade missions, targeted marketing campaigns, federal contracting match-making events, and other market development efforts. Local market expansion activities do not qualify.

The program focuses on opportunities to reach customers beyond Wyoming, generate measurable sales, and fulfill resulting orders. Applicants should identify the new market they intend to enter and explain how the grant will help them overcome a specific barrier to entering it. Companies pursuing international export markets are directed to the Council’s separate STEP program.
