    Description

The Marketing Science Institute (MSI), a division of the Advertising Research Foundation, funds high-quality academic research addressing topics important to its member companies. Research aligned with MSI’s Research Priorities is especially encouraged, although other topics that significantly advance marketing knowledge and practice are also welcome. Studies may be conceptual or empirical, draw on diverse theoretical perspectives, and use multiple methodologies.

The process begins with a short pre-proposal outlining the research questions and approach, allowing researchers to receive MSI’s reaction before developing a full proposal. Selected researchers are invited to respond to committee feedback in a full proposal. Supported findings may appear first as MSI working papers or conference presentations and later as articles in refereed journals.
