Description
The fellowship offers practicing North American orthopedic or general surgeons specializing in trauma surgery a unique opportunity to gain advanced clinical experience at a European AO trauma clinic. The program is designed to foster in-depth training in orthopedic trauma, encourage the exchange of innovative techniques, and facilitate the sharing of best practices between North American and European clinicians. Fellows participate directly in the trauma service at the host institution for one to six months, engage with complex clinical cases, and are expected to share their own expertise and perspectives with European colleagues. A detailed report reflecting on the experience and knowledge gained is required at the conclusion of the fellowship.
