The Martineau Care Fund offers small grants to help Suffolk residents facing illness or disabilities who cannot afford essential daily living equipment or support. Grants can cover mobility aids, specialised equipment, accessibility software, domestic appliances (where needed due to illness/disability), bedding, and, in exceptional cases, respite care. Hardship funding is also available for costs arising directly from illness or disability, such as heating, clothing, or travel for hospital appointments. All applications must be submitted by a registered health or social care professional who has assessed the beneficiary’s needs.
