Description
The Martineau Care Fund, managed by Suffolk Community Foundation, provides grants for daily living equipment and hardship support to individuals in Suffolk who are facing illness or disabilities and are unable to afford these costs themselves. The fund aims to enhance independence and wellbeing by supporting the purchase of essential items such as mobility aids, specialised equipment, accessibility software, domestic appliances, bedding, and, in exceptional cases, respite care. Hardship funding may also cover heating, clothing, and travel costs directly arising from illness or disability. All applications must be submitted by a registered health or social care professional who has assessed the beneficiary’s needs.
