Description
The Society for Classical Studies (SCS) offers this one-year fellowship for an American scholar to work at the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae (TLL) Institute in Munich. Supported by the Friends of the TLL and the Biggs Family Charitable Foundation, the fellowship is tenable from July 2027 through June 2028.
Fellows conduct lexicographical research, contribute signed articles to the Thesaurus, and work alongside senior scholars in an international research project. The work offers a broader view of Latin language and culture from the classical period through the early Middle Ages. Scholars entering the profession and those established in tenure-track positions may both find the opportunity relevant.
