The Emerging Adult Reentry Initiative is a state-funded program administered by the Massachusetts Office of Grants and Research (OGR). It supports community reentry program sites providing pre- and post-release services to young adults, with the goals of reducing recidivism and increasing public safety. Sites work closely with a correctional partner to identify, serve, and monitor program participants.
The initiative also funds a Technical Assistance Provider to work in partnership with funded programs. This provider offers strategic, analytic, technical, and research support to each program site. For FY27, the initiative is a continuation opportunity restricted to nonprofit organizations funded through the program in FY26.
