Description
MassTrails Grants support the planning, design, creation, and maintenance of recreational trails and shared-use pathways throughout Massachusetts. The program aims to enhance community connectivity and outdoor experiences by funding a wide range of trail-related activities, including project development, engineering, permitting, construction, ongoing maintenance, and the addition of amenities that improve trail use. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis and are administered by the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs in collaboration with the Department of Conservation & Recreation and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
