The NATA Research & Education Foundation’s Masters Student Grant Program gives students a guided research experience in collaboration with a faculty member or research/instructional staff mentor at their institution. Part of the Foundation’s Student Research Grant Program, it supports individual research projects and dissemination of their findings while advancing the athletic training profession.
Selection considers the quality and significance of the proposed research, meaningful collaboration with the mentor, and feasibility within the proposed timeline. Research impact may include contributions to athletic training, alignment with the Foundation’s research priorities and the Athletic Training Research Agenda, or the student’s professional development. Recipients are expected to participate actively in the research process and share their findings.
