Summary: Supports early-career mathematical sciences researchers to establish research independence, lead innovative projects, and champion positive change in the research community.
This fellowship is designed for ambitious early-career researchers in the mathematical sciences aiming to establish independent research careers within the remit of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Recipients will have the opportunity to lead their own research, develop a research niche, and begin building a research team. The fellowship may include a 'plus' component, allowing fellows to dedicate part of their time to advancing positive change in the research community, such as fostering research culture, equality, diversity, inclusion, or public engagement. The scheme aims to foster leadership, innovation, and capacity development within the mathematical sciences, supporting fellows in making a significant impact on both the field and the broader research environment.
