Description
The U.S. National Science Foundation's Mathematical Sciences Focused Research Groups (MS-FRG) program supports collaborative groups aiming to solve significant, complex problems in mathematics and statistics. The program encourages proposals that address outstanding research challenges of broad importance and complexity, particularly those that require a synergistic, interdisciplinary team approach. Projects should be innovative, high-risk/high-reward, and have the potential for substantial, timely advances in mathematical and statistical sciences as well as impacts in other fields. Proposals must clearly justify the necessity of a group effort and outline how the collaboration will lead to outcomes not achievable by individual investigators.
