This fellowship is intended to advance the continuing education of early-career general thoracic surgeons by supporting domestic or international travel for up to four weeks. The goal is to enable recipients to learn new surgical techniques, adapt innovative technologies, and foster collaborations with leading surgical investigators, thereby enhancing their expertise and contributing to the progress of general thoracic surgery at their home institutions. Fellows may propose their own mentor or select from a list of opportunities curated by the Thoracic Surgery Foundation for Research and Education (TSF). The experience is immersive and hands-on, designed to promote professional growth and bring new skills back to the recipient's practice.
