Description
The Matthew Gerdisch Institutional Scholarship in Arrhythmia Surgery is an institutional award designed to strengthen advanced training and education in arrhythmia surgery at leading cardiothoracic centers across North America. This program honors the legacy of Matthew Gerdisch by empowering accredited institutions to develop comprehensive educational initiatives, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, integrate evidence-based practices and emerging technologies, promote clinical research and innovation in atrial fibrillation (Afib) treatment, and ensure the sustainability of educational programs in arrhythmia surgery. The ultimate goal is to train the next generation of skilled, compassionate arrhythmia surgeons and improve patient outcomes worldwide.
