The McInerney Medical Project Grant is administered by the RANZCOG Women’s Health Foundation to support medical projects in women’s health. Established through a bequest received in 2014 from the late Dr Robert McInerney, it supports FRANZCOG trainees and Fellows, other health professionals, scientists and community members working in women’s health, subject to its qualification and career-stage requirements.
The grant encourages a broad range of projects advancing women’s health, including implementation research, work with embedded community consultation and advocacy, and projects likely to advance women’s health policy. Particular priorities include First Nations Health and Global Women’s Health. Projects must be undertaken in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand through a hospital, university department, research institute or an affiliated community setting.
