Description
The Wyoming Community Foundation administers competitive continuing education grants through the Carol McMurry Library Endowment for individuals working or volunteering in publicly accessible libraries. The program gives highest priority to courses supporting certification or completion of a degree or certificate in a library-related subject. Its next priority is conferences, workshops, seminars, and training connected to the applicant’s library work. General courses can also receive support when they help an employee or volunteer do their job more effectively.
Awards prioritize public libraries, followed by academic libraries, special libraries, public school libraries, and public archives. Applicants may also request funding for a substitute worker, helping library operations continue while they participate in educational activities.
