Description
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) runs the Meat Processor Infrastructure Grant to grow Wisconsin’s meat industry and improve the livestock sector’s long-term viability. It supports changes and expansion at licensed meat processing facilities that increase harvest capacity or meat-product throughput.
Projects may address production bottlenecks, improve efficiency or profitability, or strengthen the Wisconsin meat sector’s competitive position. Eligible project costs can include facility expansion, engineering, architectural design, construction, food safety advisory services, equipment, and equipment installation.
