Description
Humanities Nebraska (HN) supports nonprofit and government-led media projects grounded in sound scholarship, with humanities learning central to the funded activities. Eligible formats include film, television, radio, websites, podcasts, and other digital products. Digital work may stand alone or form part of a larger project, but should offer interactive, engaging experiences. Projects should encourage thought, discussion, and diverse viewpoints rather than advocate a particular solution or course of action.
HN prioritizes “connections”: interdisciplinary approaches, nontraditional partnerships, hands-on learning, structured dialogue across differences, and innovative digital engagement such as interactive maps, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. Other humanities projects remain eligible and competitive. Special consideration may go to statewide projects and audiences underserved by geography or socioeconomic status. HN also encourages programming addressing diverse and underrepresented experiences.
