Description
Illumina’s Medical Education Grants support independent educational programs intended to advance medicine and improve patient care by increasing awareness of the utility of genomics in precision medicine. Illumina reviews proposals against its policies and relevant legal and industry requirements, including Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education guidelines where appropriate.
Current focus areas include non-invasive prenatal testing using cell-free DNA in routine care for all pregnant women; genome-wide prenatal testing and the role of cell-free DNA throughout pregnancy; genomic sequencing for people with rare or undiagnosed disease and patients in neonatal intensive care, neurology, or cardiology; and comprehensive genomic profiling in solid tumors and circulating tumor DNA.
