Description
Bayer US Medical Educational Grants support organizations providing medical and healthcare education in the United States. The program focuses on radiology, women’s health, cardiovascular and renal disease, advanced prostate cancer, lung cancer, and secondary stroke prevention. Bayer’s Medical Affairs departments identify educational interests and intended audiences within these areas, including healthcare professionals and, for some topics, patients and caregivers.
Funding decisions consider excellence in patient care, alignment with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) guidelines, effective and efficient meeting formats, and the ability to reach a broad healthcare professional or consumer audience at a reasonable cost. Bayer does not control program content, but proposals must designate an educational purpose, and funds may be used only for that purpose. Requests are competitive and evaluated on individual merit; previous support does not guarantee future funding.
