Description
The Rainwater Charitable Foundation’s Medical Research Program funds research addressing tauopathies—neurodegenerative diseases characterized by abnormal tau protein accumulation, such as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD), and Pick’s disease (PiD). The program’s Tauopathy Challenge Workshop brings together interdisciplinary researchers to address a new topic each year, encouraging innovative approaches to uncover mechanisms underlying tau-related neurodegeneration and resilience.
