Description
The Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Medical Student Scholar Program introduces medical students to interventional radiology (IR) early in their medical careers. Centered on attendance at the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting, the program provides travel support and complimentary registration so scholars can learn about the specialty through the meeting and its dedicated medical student programming.
The experience combines participation in the scientific meeting with special recognition, a dedicated scholars reception, and networking opportunities. Its focus is an immersive educational experience that brings students into contact with IR while they are still in medical training.
