The Medical Student Scholar Program is designed to introduce medical students in the U.S. and Canada to interventional radiology (IR) early in their careers. The program provides recipients with complimentary registration to the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Annual Scientific Meeting, a $1,000 travel scholarship, special recognition during the meeting, and access to dedicated student programming, a scholars reception, and networking opportunities. The goal is to foster interest in IR, support professional development, and connect students with the broader IR community. Awardees are required to submit a post-meeting essay reflecting on their experience, which may be published by SIR.
