    Description

This grant supports innovative research that advances the science of medical toxicology as it relates to emergency medicine. Jointly administered by the Medical Toxicology Foundation (MTF) and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Foundation (SAEMF), the award encourages collaboration between members of the American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) and SAEM. Projects may focus on areas such as medical toxicology practice, education, acute or chronic toxicity from pharmaceuticals and chemicals, envenomations and natural toxins, opioid-use disorders and addiction medicine, chemical or radiological emergency preparedness, and global medical toxicology. Pilot studies collecting preliminary data for larger future projects are especially encouraged.
