The Samuel H. Kress Fellowships, administered by the Medici Archive Project with the support of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, provide graduate and pre-doctoral students specializing in art and architectural history the opportunity to conduct original archival research in Florence and Tuscany. Fellows gain hands-on experience with primary sources at the Archivio di Stato and other collections, receive scholarly guidance from Medici Archive Project staff, present research at MAP-sponsored events, and participate in the Paleography and Archival Studies Seminar. The program is designed to foster professional development and international scholarly networking.
