Summary: Supports innovative independent pilot research in midlife women’s health and investigators’ career development.
Key Information: Applicants must be Society members in North America and must not have received independent R or R-equivalent funding.
The Menopause Society’s Research Pilot Funding Program supports new independent pilot projects in women’s health during the midlife years. The program combines two goals: fostering innovative research and supporting the career development of the investigators conducting it. Proposed work should explain how the pilot project will lead to further research.
The program accepts applications from eligible investigators, including postdoctoral fellows, clinical residents, and PhD graduate students. Applicants describe their career stage, prior funding, mentor, and study team alongside the proposed research. Projects related to existing research must identify a new area of exploration distinct from the primary work.
