Description
The Menstrual Hygiene Products Accessibility Grant Program, administered by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), provides funding for Colorado local education providers (LEPs), certain charter schools, facility schools, and the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind to ensure students have free access to menstrual hygiene products in educational settings. The grant supports the purchase and distribution of menstrual hygiene products (pads, tampons, pantiliners) and the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of dispensing machines and disposal receptacles. The program aims to address barriers to menstrual product accessibility and promote student health, well-being, and dignity, regardless of gender identity.
