The National Council on Aging (NCOA) provides selected community-based organizations with funding, materials, training, and technical support to improve social connections among older adults and reduce isolation and loneliness. The program is for organizations interested in developing or enhancing behavioral health programming for adults ages 55 and older from diverse populations.
Partners deliver Linking Lives: A Journey to Wellness, a three-session workshop series on mental well-being and social connection. They also implement or refine peer support or navigator services and train a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor to share mental health knowledge with community members, staff, and volunteers.
