--- ## Description This fellowship supports postdoctoral researchers engaged in rehabilitation research relevant to multiple sclerosis (MS). The program aims to foster the development of future leaders in MS rehabilitation research by providing mentored training, hands-on research experience, and structured career development. Projects may be fundamental or applied, clinical or non-clinical, but must align with the National MS Society's mission to improve the lives of those affected by MS. --- ## Due Dates - August 31, 2026: Annual full application deadline — completed applications (including all required supporting documents) must be received by the Society by the August deadline. --- ## Funding Amount - **Annual Salary:** $41,576–$57,361, determined by years of relevant postdoctoral experience (see salary scale below). - **Duration:** Up to 3 years of support. - **Institutional Allowance:** Up to $7,850/year for training costs (primarily to underwrite individual medical insurance; may also cover research supplies, travel to scientific meetings, etc.). - **Relocation Costs:** Economy-class travel for the fellow (not family/household) to the training institution, if requested at application. - **No additional funds** for indirect costs, tuition, or personal computers. --- ## Eligibility - **Degree:** Applicants must hold (or be candidates for) an M.D., Ph.D., or equivalent. The fellowship will not be activated until the doctoral degree is awarded. - **Postdoctoral Experience:** 0–36 months of prior postdoctoral training at the time of application. Applicants with more than 36 months will be considered case-by-case. - **Citizenship:** - U.S. citizenship is **not required** for applicants training at U.S. institutions. - Applicants seeking training outside the U.S. must be U.S. citizens. - **Mentor and Institution:** Applicants must arrange their training with an appropriate mentor and institution before applying. - **Other:** Fellowship is not for completion of ongoing research, degree programs, or primarily clinical/teaching/service roles (up to 10% time in teaching/clinical duties permitted). --- ## Application Process - **Pre-application:** Register and submit a pre-application at [www.mssocietyapplyonline.org](http://www.mssocietyapplyonline.org/).
