Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports mentors and institutions providing postdoctoral research training in rehabilitation relevant to people with MS. The program prepares fellows for careers in rehabilitation research applied to MS and similar disorders, contributing to the Society’s goals of stopping MS progression, restoring function, and ending MS forever.
Training may involve fundamental or applied studies, but must be relevant to rehabilitation of individuals with MS. Mentors and fellows may come from medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology, rehabilitation engineering, nursing, or other fields. The mentor-institution partnership develops the training program and takes responsibility for recruiting, selecting, and training the postdoctoral fellow.
