Description
The Women's Dermatologic Society (WDS) Mentorship Award funds travel so dermatologists can spend dedicated one-on-one time with nationally and internationally recognized mentors. Established in 1991, the program supports immersive experiences in clinical observation, procedural techniques, research, and leadership development. Its central goal is to build lasting professional relationships while helping mentees bring new knowledge back to their institutions and patients.
The program was redesigned for 2027 with five mentorship tracks, expanded specialty opportunities, and greater flexibility for personalized experiences. Areas range from medical and procedural dermatology to clinical trials, skin health research, advocacy, practice leadership, medical education, and editorial experience.
