The Merit Awards program, supported by Conquer Cancer – the ASCO Foundation, honors eligible trainees and students who submit high-quality research abstracts to ASCO Meetings. Recipients receive monetary support, complimentary meeting registration, access to reserved hotel blocks, and the opportunity to present their work at a major oncology conference. Special Merit Awards are also presented annually for top-ranking abstracts in specific categories, such as pediatric oncology, pain and symptom management, and others. The program is designed to recognize and encourage emerging researchers making significant contributions to cancer research and oncology care.
