The Merit Awards program recognizes and supports eligible trainees and students whose research is presented as high-quality abstracts at ASCO Meetings and is acknowledged for its scientific merit. Recipients are honored at the meeting, receive monetary support, complimentary registration, and access to reserved hotel blocks. Special Merit Awards further recognize top-ranking abstracts in specific categories such as pediatric oncology, pain and symptom management, and more, with additional recognition and stipends. The program is funded by Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, and various donors to encourage emerging oncology researchers and highlight excellence in cancer research.
