General operating support for independent arts organizations in metro Atlanta to increase public engagement and broaden access to diverse art forms.

--- ## Description The Metropolitan Atlanta Arts Grant provides general operating support to independent arts organizations within the metro Atlanta region. Offered by the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, this grant aims to strengthen the capacity of local arts organizations, enabling them to deliver and expand diverse artistic and cultural programming. Funding is intended to increase public engagement and ensure a broad range of art forms are accessible throughout the community. The grant is part of the Foundation’s Arts, Culture and Creative Enterprises portfolio and aligns with its mission to advance equity and prosperity in the Atlanta area. --- ## Due Dates - **Full application deadline:** April 30, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. ET (Submit via the [Grants Portal](https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cfga)) --- ## Funding Amount - **First-time grantees:** $7,500 (one-year general operating support) - **Returning grantees:** $5,000 (one-year general operating support) - Funding is intended for general operations, not project-restricted activities. - Awards are subject to available funding and may be lower than in previous years to provide broad support. --- ## Eligibility To be eligible, organizations must: - Have a **primary mission** to produce, present, or create programs in arts or culture. - Have a **history** of at least 70% of programming devoted to public arts/culture activities. - Operate year-round (at least 8 months per year). - Have a **permanent base** in one of the following Georgia counties: Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, or Rockdale. - Have **annual operating expenses between $25,000 and $2 million** (excluding in-kind support) for the last completed fiscal year. - Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or have a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) status. **Ineligible applicants include:** - Organizations not primarily focused on arts/culture or not operating in the 11-county region. - Individuals, private foundations, government units, PreK-12 schools, fundraising organizations without their own programming, and others as detailed in the [grant guidelines](https://cfgreateratlanta.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/FINAL.2026-MAA-Grant-Guidelines.pdf). --- ## Application Process 1. **Register or log in** to the [CFGA Grants Portal](https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=cfga). 2.
