The Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture (MFJC) Doctoral Seminar supports emerging academics working in Jewish studies. The program combines financial assistance with peer and professional support to foster the next generation of scholars and build an international academic network. Participants share work in progress and engage with doctoral peers and leading Jewish academics from around the world.
The seminar includes nine monthly online sessions combining a doctoral peer colloquium with informal faculty talks about life in Jewish studies. Individualized writing tutoring and group facilitation help participants make their writing clearer and more persuasive to scholarly audiences, while developing a more productive writing process. Research funding supports participants’ research, study, and writing.
