    Description

The Modern Greek Studies Association’s Innovation Grant provides competitive support to institutions of higher learning and other professional nonprofit organizations for projects that enhance and promote Modern Greek Studies, including work on the Greek diaspora. Supported activities include conferences, workshops, digitization of research materials, web-based educational projects, and other activities that contribute to the field.

Administered by the MGSA Innovation Fund Committee, the program emphasizes innovation, the appropriateness of the institutional venue, project impact and importance, and anticipated contributions to Modern Greek Studies. Preference may be given to new, innovative projects and institutions that have not received grants recently. Particularly valuable longer-term projects may receive continued support, provided renewal proposals explain how additional funding will contribute to innovation and advancement of the field.
