Description
This opportunity from the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) seeks to expand access to crisis services for LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults through a dedicated, statewide crisis line. The grant will fund one not-for-profit organization that already operates a 24/7/365 crisis line for this population, enabling tailored support for New York State youth and young adults. In addition to ongoing operational funding, the awardee will provide specialized training to NYS 988 Crisis Counselors, strengthening the state’s crisis response infrastructure for LGBTQIA+ individuals. The initiative emphasizes culturally affirming, identity-competent care and aims to ensure continuous, accessible crisis support for LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults.
