Description
MI Neighborhood is administered by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority’s Neighborhood Development Division. The program combines state Housing and Community Development Fund and federal Community Development Block Grant resources to preserve existing housing and create affordable homes. MIN 4.0 provides up to $30 million in HCDF funding, distributed through Michigan’s 15 Regional Housing Partnerships in alignment with regional action plans and the Statewide Housing Plan.
Occupied rehabilitation supports home repairs, including energy-efficiency and accessibility improvements. New-unit activities include single-family construction, rental housing, and rehabilitation of vacant residential or mixed-use buildings. Proposals should demonstrate local housing need, feasible financing, and capacity to deliver the proposed activities. Applicants may combine activities in one application but must rank their priorities.
