--- ## Description The Michael L. Pollock Student Scholarship is a travel award established to honor Dr. Michael L. Pollock, a pioneering figure in exercise science. This scholarship provides financial assistance to graduate students to help cover travel expenses for presenting their research at the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting. The research focus must be related to health and fitness and/or clinical exercise physiology. The award is designed to support the next generation of exercise scientists and encourage high-quality student research presentations at a premier scientific conference. --- ## Due Dates - March 13, 2026: Application submission deadline --- ## Funding Amount - $400 per award - 2 awards given each year - One-time travel support for eligible graduate students --- ## Eligibility - Open to graduate students enrolled full-time in a program with a research focus on health and fitness and/or clinical exercise physiology. - Applicant must be a national member of ACSM in good standing prior to applying (chapter membership alone is not sufficient). - Applicant must be the first author and presenter of a poster accepted for presentation at the ACSM Annual Meeting. - Previous recipients of the Michael L. Pollock Student Scholarship are not eligible. - Winners are encouraged to attend the ACSM Honors event at the Annual Meeting. --- ## Application Process - Applications must be submitted through the [ACSM & ACSM Foundation Application Portal](https://acsm.secure-platform.com/site/). - Applicants must sign in with their ACSM ID. - ACSM membership is required at the time of submission.
