Description
Michigan’s State Trade Expansion Program (MI-STEP) is offered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s International Trade team. It helps eligible Michigan small businesses pursue global markets, increase export sales, and explore significant new trade opportunities. The program is designed to increase both the number of Michigan small businesses that export and the dollar value of Michigan exports.
Assistance may support foreign trade missions, international trade shows, and foreign market sales trips. Other eligible activities include international marketing media design and translation, social media and digital advertising, compliance testing or international certification of existing products, and sample product shipping.
