Description
This grant program, administered by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority in partnership with the UAA Center for Human Development, is designed to enhance economic independence and self-employment for Trust beneficiaries with disabilities. Funding supports a range of business-related expenses for launching, expanding, or acquiring a microenterprise, with a focus on businesses that require modest capital and employ fewer than five people. The goal is to remove barriers to entrepreneurship for Alaskans with mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, or traumatic brain injury.
