Description
The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority’s Micro Enterprise grants increase access to self-employment opportunities for people with disabilities who are Trust beneficiaries. Funding supports costs associated with starting a new business, expanding a current business, or acquiring an existing business. The Trust contracts with the University of Alaska Anchorage Center for Human Development to administer the program.
The program supports microenterprises offering a product or service, with eligible expenses ranging from licenses, inventory, and equipment to workspace, marketing, accounting, and training. Business plan development support is available at no cost, and application assistance is available through the program’s contacts.
