Description
This one-year fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, provides advanced clinical, surgical, and research training in micrographic (Mohs) surgery and dermatologic oncology. Fellows gain extensive hands-on experience with the management of skin malignancies—including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and extra-mammary Paget's disease—along with comprehensive training in cutaneous reconstructive techniques, laser procedures, and cosmetic dermatologic surgery. The program emphasizes procedural skill development, independent and critical thinking, research, and leadership through formal didactics and active teaching roles.
