Description
This grant supports U.S. mid-career professionals and specialists from diverse fields to undertake a 4–5 month sabbatical in Finland aimed at advanced education, hands-on training, or other professional experiences that significantly enhance expertise and contribute to the applicant’s field. Unlike research or teaching-focused Fulbright opportunities, this award is specifically for practical, professional development projects—such as organizational visits, skill-building, public engagement, and sector-specific training. Grantees benefit from orientation, support services, and networking opportunities provided by the Fulbright Finland Foundation, and are expected to serve as cultural ambassadors strengthening U.S.–Finland ties.
