This program provides financial support for Minnesota-based mid-career public artists to develop and implement new, original, and publicly accessible artworks anywhere in the state. Projects can be temporary or permanent and may take any form or discipline, including but not limited to performance, dance, storytelling, photography, film, sculpture, and painting. The grant prioritizes diversity, innovation, and meaningful community engagement, with a particular emphasis on supporting BIPOC and Native artists, LGBTQIA+ artists, womxn artists, immigrant artists, artists from rural communities, and artists with disabilities. All funded projects must be free and accessible to the public.
