Description

The Fulbright Scholar Program supports multi-country research and professional or artistic projects across the Middle East and North Africa. Open to all disciplines, the program welcomes historical or contemporary projects, comparative or regional studies, and work based on data collected in several countries. Fulbright is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Education.

Projects addressing regional security, education, health, energy, tourism, food security, and water technology are strongly encouraged. Special consideration goes to projects building networks of cooperation that advance common interests and regional stability. Collaboration with host-country colleagues and institutions is particularly encouraged. Alongside their projects, scholars may be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and engage with host communities to promote international understanding.
