Description
The Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), through its Midwest Member Chapter, provides scholarships for graduating high school seniors and early-year undergraduate students with qualifying AIST affiliations. The program supports college education through awards covering engineering, computer technology, and non-engineering studies, including named scholarships for women in engineering and Material Advantage student members.
The Midwest program offers up to fourteen scholarships through a single application. An impartial Scholarship Committee, independent of the Midwest Chapter, selects recipients on merit. These awards form part of AIST’s local scholarship network: its 22 Local Member Chapters collectively issue more than 43 scholarships annually to support qualified individuals within their local regions.
