Description
The National Psoriasis Foundation’s Milestones to a Cure program funds independent investigators addressing pivotal scientific questions on the path to curing psoriatic disease. It seeks bold, high-impact mechanistic, clinical, and translational research that identifies a concrete, measurable advance toward a cure—not incremental progress within existing lines of inquiry.
Research interests include treatment optimization, complete and durable remission, relapse prevention, immune memory, markers of ongoing disease activity, personalized medicine, and restoration of immune homeostasis. Projects may also examine prevention of sequelae and the mechanistic relationships between psoriatic disease and comorbidities, including obesity, cardiometabolic disease, and gastrointestinal conditions. Proposed curative therapies and treatment modalities must consider access and affordability. These interests are illustrative rather than exhaustive.
