    Description

The Ann Theodore Foundation Learning Opportunities in Medicine and Sarcoidosis (ATF-LOMAS) initiative supports early-career investigators studying sarcoidosis biology, epidemiology, and clinical care. The Ann Theodore Foundation funds the program, administered by the Milken Institute’s Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration (SPARC). Each awardee is paired with an experienced sarcoidosis mentor to develop their research focus, generate initial data and publications, and build a sustained research career.

The program encourages novel, creative, multidisciplinary approaches across any organ system. Researchers working on related granulomatous, rheumatic, infectious, inflammatory, or autoimmune conditions are encouraged to apply their expertise to sarcoidosis. Studies may use digital, human, animal, or cell models. Preliminary data are not required.
