    Description

Harvard University’s Mind Brain Behavior (MBB) Interfaculty Initiative supports interdisciplinary inquiry into mind, brain, and behavior. Its funding opportunities serve graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty through research, educational activities, collaborative experiences, and community events. The emphasis is on connecting traditional fields rather than working within a single disciplinary perspective.

The initiative offers four funding categories. Community Connect Grants support events benefiting the MBB community. Interdisciplinary Mind Grants support research, conference travel, summer lab exchanges, and other experiences that broaden trainees’ interdisciplinary training. Faculty Fusion Research Grants support collaboration across research areas and methodologies, including adapting methods from one discipline to another. Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards support fellows examining MBB-related questions through interdisciplinary research.
