Description
Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) runs this program to accelerate breakthrough discoveries through convergence science and collaborative translational research. Shaped by the Mind Meld Innovation Summit, it supports teams combining laboratory and clinical research to advance mechanistically grounded interventions with near-term potential to improve food allergy care.
Research opportunities include biomarkers, targeted and sequential immunotherapies, allergic effector cell modulation, host–microbiota interactions, engineered antibodies, cellular therapies, and artificial intelligence-enabled discovery. These examples are not exhaustive. The program emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, patient and caregiver involvement, and measurable progress toward patient-centered outcomes. Projects must include human studies beginning by the midpoint of the award and completing within the grant period.
