Description
The Marshall Community Foundation’s Mini Grant provides flexible, small-scale support for agencies responding to local needs. Projects should benefit residents of the City of Marshall and surrounding townships in Calhoun County. The Foundation favors work that produces substantial community benefits relative to the resources invested, encourages collaboration, avoids duplicated services, and attracts volunteers.
Priorities include innovative or start-up efforts, capacity building, workforce development, and projects that strengthen self-sufficiency and efficiency. The Foundation also supports access to resources for low-income or underserved populations, poverty intervention, food insecurity responses, and youth development. Youth priorities include student performance, teacher training, supplemental programs, and mental health. Projects addressing underlying causes of local challenges and seeking challenge or matching resources are favored.
