Description
The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) offers Organization Mini-Grants to support professional development and capacity building for arts organizations and to help eligible organizations hire professional artists. Artist projects may include performances, workshops, public art, and arts curriculum. Grants can also support short-term consultants for organizational or curriculum development, including strategic or fundraising planning, board training, accessibility training, and arts-related emergency preparation.
Arts organizations may seek support for staff or board members to attend conferences or workshops directly related to their arts work. MAC prioritizes applicants that have not recently received its funding, organizations in counties it identifies as underserved, and projects hiring artists on its Artist Roster or Teaching Artist Roster.
