Description
The West Virginia Humanities Council, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, offers minigrants for humanities-centered public programming in West Virginia. Grants can support a single event or lecture, a small museum exhibit or brochure, expert consultation, or planning for a more complex project. Relevant subjects include history, literature, language, philosophy, archaeology, ethics, religion, and the history and criticism of the arts.
The Council is concentrating its limited grantmaking on minigrants while less than half of its restored federal funding is available. It aims to reach as many West Virginia communities as possible with the funds being released.
