Description
Administered through UBC Health, the Ministry of Health Research Seed Grant Program supports collaborative, policy-relevant research responding to the BC Ministry of Health’s current and emerging priorities. It brings academic researchers and Ministry staff together to co-create evidence for provincial health policy, planning, and service delivery. Funding can launch new projects or add new components to existing studies.
The program emphasizes rigorous, practically relevant research, knowledge translation, and stronger relationships between the Ministry and British Columbia’s research universities. Its General Stream covers eleven priority questions across health services, workforce, Indigenous perspectives, climate resilience, and substance use care. A dedicated Glucose Monitoring Stream examines patient experience and unmet needs under PharmaCare coverage.
