Description
The Minority Leadership Development Award, administered by the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), was created in 2001 to nurture future leaders and introduce minority law librarians to leadership opportunities within the Association. It supports professional leadership development rather than research or project funding, connecting participation in the AALL Annual Meeting & Conference with sustained involvement in the profession.
The award provides conference expenses for one recipient, an experienced AALL leader as a mentor for at least one year, and an opportunity to serve on a standing AALL committee. It is intended for early-career professionals who demonstrate leadership potential, have a strong academic record, and hope to contribute to AALL and the field of law librarianship.
