The Minority Leadership Development Award is designed to nurture future leaders from minority backgrounds within the law library profession. Established in 2001 by the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the award provides funding for travel, lodging, and registration to attend the AALL Annual Meeting & Conference, a year-long mentorship with an experienced AALL leader, and the chance to serve on any standing AALL committee during the subsequent leadership year. The program aims to foster leadership skills, professional growth, and greater inclusion within the field of law librarianship.
